When we were raising our own family (which included many foster children) I always made sure every children started their day off with a good hearty breakfast. I use to work at the school cafeteria and I saw so many children that did not have breakfast and I always made sure they had extra food on their plates.

I would always get up early at home to prepare lunches and breakfast. Growing up my mother always fed us a good breakfast only she would give us all a teaspoon of cod live oil before we left for school each day. It was awful! She wanted us to be healthy but that taste lasted until lunch time.

  • 2 tubes  refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 16 cooked link sausage
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups  milk
  • 1/2 tsp  seasoning salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper


  • Preheat your oven to 375° and spray a 9×13 pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Unroll both cans of refrigerated crescent rolls and separate into triangles. Place a cooked link sausage on the wide side of each triangle and roll up.
    Place into prepared pan {2 rows of 8 crescents}. Top crescents with shredded cheese.y
  • In a bowl combine eggs, milk, seasoning salt and black pepper. Whisk to combine and pour over the crescent and cheese mixture in an even layer.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the egg mixture is completely set and the top is golden brown. Serve warm.
