Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the following.....

    Sugar
    Place the saucepan over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil while stirring occasionally.

    Water
    Sugar
  • Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10–15 minutes.
    During this time, the blueberries will burst and release their juices, creating a rich purple syrup.
    Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat.
    Pour the blueberry mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl or pitcher.
    Use the back of a spoon to gently press the berries and extract as much liquid as possible.
  • Stir the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest into the warm blueberry syrup.
    The lemon instantly brightens the berry flavor and creates the signature blueberry lemonade taste.
    Allow the concentrate to cool completely.
  • Transfer the cooled concentrate into airtight jars, glass bottles, or freezer-safe containers. Refrigerator: up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
    For easy serving, freeze the concentrate in ice cube trays and thaw portions as needed.
  • To prepare lemonade, combine:
    Adjust the ratio depending on how strong or sweet you prefer your drink.
    1 part concentrate1–2 parts cold water or sparkling water.
