Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk orange zest, eggs, orange juice, buttermilk, and melted butter until smooth.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The dough will be thick — that’s normal. Fold in cranberries gently.
Form the dough into a round loaf and place it on your prepared pan. Lightly score an “X” on top — this helps it bake evenly and gives it that classic soda bread look.
Bake for 45–55 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool for at least 10–15 minutes before slicing.
Whisk powdered sugar with orange juice until smooth and drizzle over the cooled loaf.
