Peppermint Snow Ice Cream

Snow ice cream is a classic winter treat made by mixing clean, fresh snow with milk, sugar, and flavoring. The snow acts as the ice, creating an instant frozen dessert. Adding peppermint gives it a cool, wintery twist that feels perfect for the season.
When I was growing up in Idaho there was always lots of snow in the winter. I do not remember making Peppermint Snow Ice Cream as a kid, but when we lived at our farm in Oregon we made it with the kids every winter.
This Peppermint Snow Ice Cream is an easy homemade ice cream that you make out of actual snow! A fun recipe to make with the family!!
ONLY 4 INGREDIENTS NEEDED…
- 10 cups of snow
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Peppermint extract
- Crushed candy canes (optional)
A FEW TIPS TO KNOW….
- Always use freshly fallen snow for the best texture and safety.
- Start with less peppermint extract and add more if needed—too much can overpower the flavor.
- If the mixture becomes too runny, add a little more snow. If it’s too dry, add a splash of milk.
