- Perfect for meal prep
Ingredients….
- Banana, mashed
- Old-fashioned rolled oats
- Creamy peanut butter or almond butter
- Honey or maple syrup
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- Mini chocolate chips, optional
- Pinch of salt
👩🍳 Family-Friendly Tips
If the mixture feels too sticky, add a little more oats. If it seems too dry, add a small spoonful of peanut butter or a splash of milk.
You can also let everyone customize their own batch. Try adding raisins, chopped nuts, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, or a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
For a nut-free version, use sunflower seed butter instead of peanut or almond butter.

These bites are especially handy to have in the refrigerator during busy weeks. Make a batch on Sunday and keep them chilled for an easy grab-and-go snack throughout the week.
Whether you’re packing school lunches, looking for an afternoon pick-me-up, or simply trying to keep hungry little hands happy, these Banana Oat Energy Bites are an easy family favorite.
Simple ingredients and a delicious snack at the end — that’s our kind of recipe!
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana, mashed banana,
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter or almond butter
- 2 tbsps honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips, optional
Instructions
- Start by mashing your banana in a medium-sized bowl. Don't worry about getting it perfectly smooth—a few little banana pieces are just fine.
- Add the oats, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Give everything a good stir until the mixture comes together.
- Now comes the fun part! Stir in your favorite extras. Around here, mini chocolate chips are always a winner. You could also add shredded coconut, raisins, chia seeds, or chopped nuts.
- Pop the bowl into the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This helps firm everything up and makes rolling the bites much easier.
- Once chilled, scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it between your hands. Keep going until you've used all the mixture.
- And that's it! No oven, no complicated steps, and one very happy family.
